The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has announced several welfare programs in the 2024-25 budget. Among them, it has been announced that it will provide free electric scooters to women. Hence, expectations are high about this scheme.
BBMP has announced some incentive packages in its budget that will benefit women financially. One of them is providing free electric scooters to women.
Free electric scooters for women:
There are a large number of women working in factories and offices in Bengaluru. To help such women commute to their homes and workplaces, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has come up with a special scheme to provide free electric scooters to women. This is a special scheme designed to benefit working women.
Garment workers, employed women, and women civil servants can apply to take advantage of this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of Bengaluru. They must not have previously benefited from such a scheme. The last date for applying is May 5th.
Documents required to get a free electric scooter:
Application can be submitted with Aadhaar card, ration card, residence proof, age proof, employment proof, passport size photo and bank account details.
